The Syllabus for Black Belt;-

The Wado Ryu Kempo Jitsu and Ryukyu Kempo Karate were formed by Grandmaster Phil Milner and Shinan Steve Costello, and consist of.

1. Ryukyu circuit training 10 conditioning exercises.
   
   
2. Kumite – Sparring – Line up of 12 must win 10.
   
   
3. Katamewaze – Line up of 10 must win 8.
   
   
4. 10 Knife self-defense – no faults.
   
   
5. Kobudo Jutsu – weapons against the knife. Tonfa - Bone Breaker - Cane -Yawari - Baton - Jo.
   
   
6. 5 Immobilization holds, Twenty Kansetzuwaze and Shime-waze blindfold.
   
   
7. Ten Ryukyu self-defense techniques.
   
   
8. Ten Kicking Combination's.
   
   
9. 50 Hand and elbow strikes to all parts of the anatomy.
   
   
10. Chagi Kicking Kata no faults.
    
    
11. Taegeuk – Speed kata no faults.
    
    
12. 5 Kobudo katas.
    
    
13. Speed and reaction training.
    
    
14. Courage training.
    
    
15. Terminology and demonstration of flag system.
    
    
16. Demonstrate a knowledge of refereeing.
    
    
17. Show ability to instruct class.
